Company information

Gary and Robert enjoy the property very much. It is like being on holiday all the time. Robert has gardening projects on the go in the vegetable and flower beds We have 2 Border Collie dogs (Frazer and Cora) and a cat (Phoebe) that entertain us with their antics. We also have sheep and calves who graze the pasture surrounding the house.

Property information

Ribbonwood is a purpose built guest house designed with our visitors in mind. Four ensuite guest rooms with their own outdoor seating area and uninterrupted views of the garden or to the Kaikoura mountain range. Guest have use of the library, guest lounge and dining room. Free onsite parking handy to the house and a porte-cochere for when the weather is wet. All rooms have free WIFI and tea/coffee making facilities. Evening meals can be arranged. Please reply to the confirmation email sent after your reservation is received. Also in the house is a purpose build spa treatment room - a qualified spa therapist offers a range of massage, facials, wraps, waxing and other treatments for male and female guests. Reservation required.

Neighbourhood information

Nearby to our location is Gore Bay - a nice beach for a walk and even a swim in the summer. Our favourite is to go to a remote part of the Waiau river and take the dogs swimming there in the fresh water. We are 60 minutes from Kaikoura and the whale, seal and dolphin watching activities there. We are also handy to the Mt Lyford Skifield (in season)
