Our charming cabin is part of a beautiful 7 acre lifestyle property and is approximately: *30 minutes drive from the Abel Tasman National Park. * 45 minutes from Nelson * 15 minutes from Kaiteriteri Beach * 10 minutes to Motueka. A perfect retreat, whether you want to enjoy the serenity of the country, visit restaurants and vineyards, explore the beautiful Abel Tasman or laze in the sun on the golden sand of Kaiteriteri beach. The cabin is ideal for a couple but if you want to bring the kids there is a loft space. Ideal if 1 or 2 school age children. Your bedroom opens to a park -like setting where you can relax on the deck and listen to the birds. You will love the unique outdoor shower, composting toilet, stone basin and other eco-friendly aspects. The semi-outdoor kitchen is well equipped including: a fridge/freezer, electric frypan, microwave and small BBQ. WiFi is not yet available in the cabin - but you may use a space on the Villa verandah to access our wifi at any time. Cell phone coverage is excellent. Our property is positioned along the Great NZ Cycleway and if you don’t have your own bikes, we can advise where to hire from. Can you picture yourself exploring the many outdoor adventures this region offers - canyoning, kayaking, hiking, fishing, golf, beach-combing, and river swimming and more - all within an hour from your accomodation? After you arrive, ask us about availability our on-site private yoga instruction and therapeutic or relaxation massage. A sauna with river immersion is available for a small charge. The property is divided by a small river, which you are welcome to use if you fancy a shallow dip. Visit the pond which is stunning when the lotus lilies are blooming. Follow little tracks on the hillside or take a walk and meet the neighbours which include horses, cows and sheep. Hi - my name is Lyn and I and enjoy meeting new people, travelling and hosting. I love living in a river valley - this part of the world holds strength for me as I am immersed in nature everyday, caring for the land, those who visit here and also those who live here. For this I am full of gratitude. You are welcome to share some moments of our lives here. For the time in this space while you stay, you are so very welcome. There is so much to do in this part of the country - especially outdoor adventures and we have some fabulous restaurants cafes and markets to enjoy too. With three NZ national parks at our 'backdoor' and good sunshine hours to explore them in winter and summer there is something for everyone. Our rural valley community feels safe and locals here are generally helpful and friendly.
