About this property
Comfortable Accommodation: RIMU CABIN At the Bridge in Motueka offers a holiday home with a garden, open-air bath, and free WiFi. The property features a kitchenette, private bathroom, sauna, and garden views.
Modern Amenities: Guests enjoy free on-site private parking, private check-in and check-out services, and breakfast in the room with continental options including juice and fruits. Additional facilities include an outdoor seating area, picnic area, bicycle parking, and barbecue facilities.
Outdoor Activities: The property is situated 52 km from Nelson Airport and provides access to yoga classes and hiking. Outdoor dining areas and barbecue facilities enhance the relaxing atmosphere.
Rimu Cabin is a single room loft-cabin nestled in a large family garden on 7 acres. You’ll have your own private landscaped space located approximately 20–30 metres away from two permanent homes. You have tree views and access to the river and land as well.
A quality queen bed is the centrepiece of the cabin. There is a loft space, accessed by ladder, suitable for 2 children 5yrs and older. There are two mattresses in this space and we can provide linen for you on request.
All at one level, the cabin deck integrates the kitchenette and an outdoor bathroom area which has a very tidy eco-friendly composting loo which isn't smelly (!). The shower and basin are open air with hot water.
The semi-outdoor kitchen has a fridge/ freezer, electric frypan, jug and toaster, microwave and small BBQ. The kitchen is sheltered.
This is family land with a charming past - Three generations currently live here in 4 separate households.
Explore the land which is divided by a river. Visit the pond which is stunning when the lotus Lillies are blooming. Follow little tracks on the hillside or take a walk and meet the neighbours which include horses, cows and sheep .
We keep a few chickens who may be keen to meet you and there are 3 cats who are outdoor souls.
WiFi is not yet available in the cabin - until it is you may use the space on the Villa verandah to access the internet. Why not unplug for a while anyway - Cell phone coverage is excellent.
You will be staying in a rural context just 12 mins from Motueka town. We are up the Motueka River Valley on the Great NZ Cycleway which is an 80km/hr road. Nights here are still and quiet - and it is possible to hear the occasional passing truck break the silence. Resident roosters are in the distance and part of the fabric of rural life here.
You will be 20 mins from Kaiteriteri beach, 30 mins from Abel Tasman National Park and 35 mins from Kahurangi National Park.
On offer: Sauna and river immersion is available, Book 4 hours ahead so we can prepare it for you.
Ask us about therapeutic and relaxing massage and private yoga instruction.
