The Rotorua Forest Getaway is located on a quiet street in Rotorua, predominantly a family neighborhood but very central and right next to some of Rotorua's best attractions and activities. Views from the front door of famous geothermal steam and the Whakarewarewa Forest waiting to be explored. Next to Rotorua golf course and great cafes. Close to all Rotorua’s hotspots - Beautiful Lakes, Hot-pools, Redwood forest, Eat Streat, Waipa Mountain-bike Park, Te Puia, The Living Māori Village and more. 10 minutes drive to the Rotorua Airport and 5 minute drive to Rotorua's town center here are some cool activities close the house: Redwood forest- great place for a walk or bike ride. This is a 5-10min drive from the house or a short 800m walk through the back of SCION. Whakarewarewa living Māori village. Experience a geothermal walk and authentic Māori cultural experience that has been shared with visitors from around the world for over 200years. A short walk up the road from the house. Blue Lake: beautiful place for a walk or swim this time of the year. A 10-15min drive from your house. Te Puia- experience a Māori cultural tour and check out the Pohutu Geyser. Prices vary. Located down the road from the the house. Ciabatta Bakery- one of our favorite places to eat, we recommend the almond cronuts. 5min drive or 15-20min walk. Rotorua Tree walk- a series of suspended bridges high in the redwood forest. Children friendly. You can also do this activity at night as it is lit with some stunning lights. 5-10min drive from the house or again a short walk through the back of SCION. Eat street- A pedestrian only street with a number of delicious restaurants. 5min drive from the house El Mexicano Zapata Cantina- one of our favorite restaurants (Mexican). Great for kids.
