This gorgeous property is situated on the Kawatiri Coastal Trail walking and cycling track, 700m from the head of the Nile River on Little Beach with the Paparoa Ranges in the background. Outdoor lovers paradise. Bring your kayaks, bikes and fishing gear for a holiday of natural beauty. Outdoor adventure activities close by for those less prepared. Comb the beach for semi precious stones and have a fire on the beach or just enjoy the peace and serenity. The sunsets are incredible and at night the sky comes alive so for star gazers this is bliss. There are only four houses on this section of beach allowing you a true dark sky experience. Please note: the closest petrol station and shops are 20km/ 20 mins away in Westport so come prepared. You'll find it hard to leave.

Hi, Im Andrea your host I live next door and wish to share this amazing beach and environment with you. The cottage is set up as a sanctuary, so you will be safe and secure in all weather. We are living on the Western edge of the South Island in New Zealand. Its an exciting location. My guests come for both adventure and or relaxing. They have all gone away very happy with their stays, and return to repeat.

Little Beach is the great swimming and kayaking/ paddle boarding beach. It is sheltered from both the Northerlies and Southerlies with large rock outcrops at each end of the beach. The Southern end is the head of the Nile River. The northern headland is a popular casting fishing spot, with Orcas and Hector dolphins passing through a few meters off the rocks. Charleston centre is a 45min walk up and along the new swing bridge and Kawatiri track through ancient luscious bush, another 10mins and your at Constance and Joyce Bay and several coastal walking tracks. Charleston Pub, Underworld Adventures rafting and caving centre are at the top of the track. 2km North along Beach Rd and 700m on SH6 is Jacks Pizza Place for the best Pizzas ever! Westport is 20mins North, Reefton 1hour NE, Old Ghost Road 1hour North and the Buller River Jet another 15mins towards Murchison a great activity. South 20mins on SH6 you pass Punakiki famous Pancake Rocks and several great walking tracks, heading towards Greymouth a1 hour drive on the Great Scenic Highway.
