Our dog friendly cottage has a large kitchen/living area and a separate bedroom with queen bed, plenty of storage and an ensuite. It is cosy and comfortable. We are situated in a quiet street within a 10–15-minute walk to the CBD and New World supermarket. The cottage is also a 5-minute walk away from our picturesque riverside Warren Cole Walkway. The cottage is situated at the back of our house but separated by a large deck. You have your own entrance, and for your convenience you can park your car directly outside your door. A laundry is available free of charge, this is shared with your hosts. The kitchen is fully equipped with a bench top oven, microwave, electric fry pan, a single hob, a large fridge and all manner of cooking equipment. We are happy to accept small to medium dogs (it is expected that they will be kept off the furniture and bed – a further charge will apply if extra cleaning is required due to dog hair being found on the furniture). The property is fully fenced with a gate which will be kept shut so your dog can freely wander outside. We accept two night bookings only. A porta cot and highchair are available if you are travelling with a young baby

My husband Colin and I have lived in our home for 20+ years. My husband is semi-retired and I still work full time. We enjoy talking to new people and learning about different countries and customs and travel ourselves when time and money permit. We have two sons currently living in the UK and 3 other sons living in New Zealand. We look forward to welcoming you to our wee cottage.

We are very central to the CBD and a supermarket. We have a lovely riverside walkway 5 minutes from the property. Ohope beach, voted the best beach in NZ on more than one occasion is a15 minute drive over the hill. Once there you will find some lovely cafes, and a couple of nice retail shops and of course a stunning beach to walk on and take a swim - weather dependent.
