Welcome to Tairua Garden Hideaway. Located just a 2-minute walk to the estuary and 5 minute drive to the surf beach, you'll enjoy easy access to local shops, restaurants, and everything our town has to offer. My small sleepouts are surrounded by a cottage garden, with chickens and dogs adding to the laid-back atmosphere. The outdoor kitchen has a sink with hot and cold water, a BBQ and mini fridge. The outdoor dining table and lounge area are covered so even though I keep the main house to myself, you've got plenty of room to relax in! If the sun is shining, hammocks and loungers down by the pond are even more comfortable. Toilet and shower facilities are inside my home. Please feel comfortable coming in to use them - this is how I live my life with guests on site almost every day. You won't wake me up coming in at night, again I am very used to having company! I do ask that outside of using the bathroom, you don't come inside the main house. I work from home, so I’m usually around if you need anything however I mostly keep to myself and am very respectful of guests’ privacy. Please note some features of my property that may not suit everyone - The sleepout cabins are small, and are accessed by rustic cottage pathways. The Twin Room is furthest from the house/toilet. The dogs will bark when you arrive but not all the time and all of my animals love to interact with guests. There is no rooster but the chickens do cluck when they lay. And of course, the bathroom is inside my home - I promise I am very comfortable having guests here every day and hope you will be too. If all of that sounds ok, I look forward to meeting you!
