Great location - an easy walk to the heart of Wanaka.
Tempest on Wanaka is just 5 minutes walk from cafes and bars, and 10minutes walk from the lakefront restaurant precinct. We rarely use the car, preferring to walk to cafes and restaurants. We are about 5 minutes walk from the golf club.
Tempest on Wanaka offers two spacious guest rooms, each with own attached bathroom complete with shower, toiletries, and hair dryer. The guest room has tea/coffee facilities.
The house has free wifi throughout. Guests are welcome to use the patio.
The patio features a gas bbq, with a wood-fired oven. Both are available for guest use.
A delicious continental breakfast is available from 8-9 am (earlier on request). Enjoy an espresso, latte or cappuccino, tea, with seasonal fruit, home - baked bread and spreads, homemade muesli, yoghurt and orange juice.
Free on-site parking is available for an RV/campervan, or boat trailer.
Chris is a veterinarian having worked in the poultry and meat industries and government; and Lin is a registered nurse with experience in intensive/coronary care; aged care; general practice and public health nursing.
We decided that Wanaka would be a amazing place to live, and being much too young to retire, decided that having a bed and breakfast accommodation would be ideal. We are both travellers who enjoy meeting new people and finding out what they do and where they come from. Chris was involved in managing a city boutique hotel before the move to Wanaka.
So we bought a big house close to town, which has 4 spacious bedrooms upstairs, and 2 lounges and outdoors patio area downstairs. Our 2 spacious guest rooms each have modern ensuite bathrooms.
Tempest on Wanaka is 12 minutes drive from the Wanaka Airport which offers sky diving; helicopter hire; learn to fly airplanes; Tiger Moth flights; regional scenic flights ; and a car and toy museum.
3 minutes drive to Puzzling World.
And a range of 4 wheel drive tours, guided fishing, farm tours, wine tours and lots more.
And of course beautiful Lake Wanaka just 10 minutes walk.
Also, lots of walking and cycling paths, alongside the lake and river, and in the hills.
