The Birds Nest is a secluded and boutique cabin nestled amongst the tree tops and away from other houses. This luxury hideaway provides the peace and quiet of nature, whilst maintaining close proximity to all that the city and suburbs has to offer. The Birds Nest was newly built in 2024, it is a self contained cabin with full kitchen and bathroom. Your accomodation is fully fenced with private parking, hot tub and outdoor patio area. Some highlights include relaxing in our private hot tub watching the sun set, strolls along the banks of the Heathcote river, and afternoon gelato just around the corner In principle, this house is suitable for three guests. However if you have an infant (0-2y) that you have sleeping in a cot they may stay free of charge. If you need to hire a port-a-cot, we can supply one of these for which we will request an additional payment should this apply to you. We have an EV charging point at our parking area. We know you will thoroughly enjoy your relaxing stay with us!

Myself and my husband, Guy, own and manage The Birds Nest. We really enjoyed building this home to share with others! We live on a large property, the Birds Nest is in a secluded corner of the property with a lovely private treetop outlook. I enjoy biking, crafts, shopping, spending time with friends, and heading away on adventures in our caravan! Guy loves hunting, biking, creating things and travel.

We live on a lively green tree lined street, across the road from a river and large park, complete with playground and waking paths. We have several cafes and eateries nearby including a wonderful Italian Gelato shop! There are several places of interest within 5-8 kms away including the ChCh Gondola, the Tramway through the CBD, Ferrymead historic village, Art Gallery, Arts Centre, Lyttleton Harbour etc
