Hi there, and welcome to our home! We love the beautiful indoor-outdoor flow that makes living here so special. The view of Mt. Mania and the sea creates a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Our home is bright, open, and perfect for enjoying Northland.
We love our animals, they are an important part of our household. You’ll find them both indoors and outdoors, and they are always happy to share their friendly nature with our guests.
Your private room opens directly to the patio and garden, where you’ll find a spa and the BBQ — perfect for unwinding or enjoying a casual meal outside. It’s a lovely space to relax and take in the fresh air.
We also have a back deck with seating for relaxing and soaking up the view, our favourite feature of our home.
Please note, this is a shared home with us, and we look forward to making your stay comfortable and welcoming.
We’re friendly, hardworking, and easygoing folk, married for over 31 years. Our two adult children are off pursuing their professional careers, so now we enjoy sharing our home with guests. Our two well-mannered dogs know their zones around the house, and our two cats are a little more aloof, preferring to do their own thing.
We love spending evenings by the fire, cooking, eating, and sharing plenty of laughs. Hosting gives us the chance to meet new people and enjoy good company. We’re also keen walkers and are always happy to recommend local beach or bush walks. Beautiful waterfall and coastal tracks are just minutes away, and we love making the most of them.
Our neighbourhood is perfectly located for exploring everything Whangarei has to offer. We’re close to the Town Basin, with its galleries, cafes, marina, and waterfront sights. There are also plenty of bush walks, waterfalls, and stunning beaches nearby for those who love nature and the outdoors.
Getting around is easy — Whangarei is suited to having a car, though you can catch the local bus to town. If needed, we can also assist in arranging a taxi for you if requested in advance. Whether you're after adventure or a relaxing day by the water, there’s something nearby for everyone to enjoy.
