The Perch is a studio room with separate bathroom facilities. It is private and surrounded by beautiful gardens. We welcome those who are looking for a quiet get away, and those who are visiting Cape Reinga and need a comfortable and welcoming nights rest. The Perch is on our 5ha farmlet, and privacy was a key component of why it is situated away from our home and farming activities. You may see us walking down to collect eggs and attend to the animals and orchards from the windows, but the road to the farm is far enough away no privacy is lost. We have 3 very friendly dogs, which sometimes think guests have come to visit them, but we do keep them secure on our property. We are very responsive to guests needs, and try to maintain privacy while ensuring if anything comes up we can assist. The Perch is 10-15minutes from Pukenui. The last 5 minutes is on gravel road. You will see number 83 on a surfboard in a pine tree, and The Perch is the next entrance on the left. There is a supermarket - Four Square, and eating facilities in Pukenui. Honey Bees is a few minutes north of Hohoura for takeaways.

Our lovely little piece of paradise allows us to work from home, manage the fruit trees and animals and provide a beautiful retreat for visitors. Our aim is to be as self sufficient as possible. The Perch is entirely off grid, and with recently planted gardens and fruit trees, it won't take long. When we have fruit in season, we leave this for guests to enjoy.

The Perch is a great place to rest when visiting the Far Far North. With stunning beaches, and only 45 minutes to Cape Reinga, after a day of exploring you can rest in the beautiful space. We recommend stepping outside on a clear night and looking up at the night sky - with little to no light pollution it is stunning.
