Built in 1888, The Prince Albert Backpackers & Bar is a heritage building with free Wi-Fi, an onsite bar and restaurant and a cafe on weekdays
Prince Albert Backpackers is a 5-minute walk from Nelson. It is a 10-minute walk from the bus terminal. It is a 5-minute drive from Trafalgar Park and a 15-minute drive from Nelson Airport.
All heated rooms have carpeted floors and an en suite bathroom with a shower and toilet. All rooms have linen provided.
Guests can relax outdoors on the sun terrace in a hammock or prepare a meal in the shared kitchen. Come ask us about activities around the Top of the South, we are happy to advise where we can.
The cafe is open from 7:30am Monday to Friday while the restaurant is open from midday 7 days a week. Please head to our website for an updated menu.
