The Salty Bushman is a unique, luxurious, coastal B&B build in 2021. It is a Passive house with handcrafted furniture and a great mix of urban and rustic tones. Situated in the beautiful Kakapoint which forms part of the stunning Catlins of New Zealand. It features two bookable rooms. Each with their own ensuite. The guest lounge and dinning areas are shared facilities.
The Hunter family: Peter is a local Builder/Carpenter who built and designed the B&B and he is the creator of all the beautiful handmade furniture that you will see at The Salty Bushman. He even made the beautiful lights in the B&B guest lounge. Ronél wears many hats. She is Singer Songwriter, Music Teacher and local Photographer as well as the manager of The Salty Bushman B&B. Ronél is also a keen fisherwomen and could show you some great local spots.
The beachfront B&B host stunning views of the famous Nugget point lighthouse and the coastline. Take a 150 meter walk down to Bates beach or a 1km walk down to the main beach and center. The NEUX restaurant and Port Molyneux School, wedding venue is only about 150 meters away.
