Unit A5, Waitaki Lakes Apartments is a 38m2, one bedroom plus sofa bed fully serviced apartment in idyllic surroundings on the edge of the Otematata Golf Course with the Alps2Ocean cycle trail, walking trails and wetland areas nearby. The apartment has been recently refurbished with a new kitchenette & bathroom and interior upgrade, double glazing and new carpet/vinyl. There is a fully functioning kitchenette with microwave/convection oven, portable induction cooktop - 2 elements, fridge/freezer, air fryer, nutribullet, sandwich press, toasted sandwich maker, cutlery, crockery etc, wall mounted smart TV with streaming facility, panel heaters and comfortable beds – one being a sofa bed. Main bed has sherpa mattress topper for extra warmth. Spare duvet cover with inner for sofa bed can be used on main bed if required. In the complex there are separate laundry facilities available with a small charge. Welcome to my little Oasis away from everyday life in the city. I hope you will enjoy a quiet, relaxing stay and take home some lovely memories. Visit local places and dine out at the hotel attached to the premises or take a short 10 minute drive to Omarama where there are several restaurants, cafes to choose from. If you go to Omarama you may also like to book in at the Omarama Hot Tubs to enjoy a relaxing soak, refreshments and stunning views especially at night. Locally there is an On the Spot dairy which is owned by a popular Oamaru baker who offers a large selection of their goods in store as well as all basic grocery items. Seasonally or with limited hours you will find a coffee cart and real fruit ice cream caravan a short distance from the complex. (turn right from the carpark and they are about 200m along the road on the left.) I have traveled often and know what I would like to experience in my accommodation so I hope you enjoy my unit and the little extras to make it like a home.

There is an On the Spot dairy, across the road, who offer everything for the traveler, a great selection of Bakery items, Hungry Hydro Caravan, across the road and on the way to Omarama, for a great coffee and delicious snack food, in the same area is the Real Fruit Ice Cream caravan with plenty of options for everyone to enjoy and for meals there is the Otematata Eatery and Bar adjacent to the apartment. A children's playground is within walking distance across the road from the complex which has been upgraded an now offers a bbq for cooking while your children enjoy themselves on the equipment. Just follow the paths on the main road. It's a short walk/drive to Lake Aviemore, Lake Benmore, Omarama (15 mins) and Twizel (35 minutes). From Otematata you can travel to Central Otago (Wanaka, Cromwell & Queenstown) via Omarama or the MacKenzie country (Twizel, Mt Cook, Pukaki, Lake Tekapo). Lake Ohau is a 1hr 10mins drive, the closest Ski Field being Ohau (50 mins). Travel or just settle in and have a relaxing break from your travels or city life. Whatever you decide this is the place to do it.
