Our home is at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac street. The house is large with 2 bedrooms for guests, 1 Queen and 1 King size, so we can host combinations of; 1 guest / 1 room. 2 guests / 2 rooms 3 guests / 2 rooms 4 guests / 2 rooms Guests have there own bathroom and toilet. The bathroom has a shower and spa-bath. An extra toilet available in garage. Guests have free use of the clothes washer / rack or dryer. Guests can share the kitchen / dining / lounge rooms with owners. A free Continental breakfast is available. The owner can make you fresh espresso coffee from a commercial type machine. Note: We have stairs to climb from the entry door to the living area There is a BBQ available on the deck The living area / kitchen and deck offer expansive views over the Tauranga harbour, city, Mount Maunganui, ocean and Kaimai ranges. World heritage site ancient Maori Pa are also visible.
We are Jenny and Peter, we have 4 sons 2 daughter in laws and 4 grandchildren. We are now retired, Peter from heavy transport, and Jenny from healthcare. We have travelled to the USA, Europe and recent years holidayed a lot in Asia. In our spare time we enjoy fishing, if we have a catch in the fridge we are happy to share!. We are experienced hosts and we do it because we enjoy meeting people. Come and stay with us!!.
Tauranga is ranked the 2nd fasted growing city in NZ. It has a very busy Port with lots of exports leaving here including dairy products, logs, kiwifruit etc. People love to retire here because of the temperate climate and beautiful beaches. Most visitors either climb or walk around Mount Maunganui which sits on the entrance to the harbour. There are popular hot salt-water pools at its base. There are so many beautiful beaches close by stretching from Waihi to Ohope in the East. We are usually the place to stay before visitors go off to explore the Coromandel or head South to Rotorua which is only an hour away. Close to our home are hot-pools, a shopping centre with groceries, takeaways including Chinese, Indian and Japanese. Also a Chemist.
