Our private whare is a short drive/walk to Ngarunui Beach. It's set into the hillside of our property, surrounded by Harakeke bushes and other native plants. Raglan Township will take you just under 10 minutes by car, or if you’re able, it’s a wonderful walk of around 35 minutes, either along the beach on low tide, or the new footpath that’s just opposite our drive. Our space is ideal for couples/solo escapes, especially if you'd like to spend your time surfing or bush walking, we are very close to Ngarunui Beach & Manu Bay.
Kia ora! We are extremely privileged to live in an amazing part of New Zealand, Raglan! We have just over 3 acres of land that we are replanting in native trees, so far over 2000 have gone into the ground, our goal is to regenerate our land back to mostly bush, encouraging our native bird and our bee population to grow! We enjoy the local surf, good coffee and growing our own food, and we look forward to sharing our space with you, whether you're from our own back yard or further afield, all's welcome :) He whakataukī (Maori proverb) waiho i te toipoto, kaua i te toiroa let us keep close together, not far apart When checking in to Whare Tatū, you are welcome to use the lock box or state if you’d like me to meet you there. We also live only a couple of minutes further up the hill, and contactable via my cell phone at all times during your stay :)
Our whare iti (small house) is conveniently located between the beaches and the township. Depending on your abilities, the main beach, Ngarunui, which is patrolled in the summer months, is a 15 minute walk, as is Wainui Reserve. Raglan township is further, roughly 35 minutes by foot, or 5-10 minutes by car, depending on traffic on the one-way bridge.
