Mahir, born and raised in Muscat, is a certified Omani tour guide with over 15 years of experience. He manages the camp on-site and takes care of everything—from cooking and guiding to making sure guests feel at home. Mahir speaks Arabic and English. Ela is from Germany and handles communication, planning, and guest support remotely. She speaks German and English and is happy to assist with any questions before or during your stay. Together, Mahir and Ela are passionate about offering guests a warm, authentic, and unforgettable experience in one of Oman’s most beautiful coastal regions.

Ocean Camp is a remote eco-camp located directly by the sea in Bar Al Hikman, Oman. Guests stay in traditional Bedouin-style tents with sea-view terraces and enjoy daily breakfast and dinner under the open sky. Away from crowds and tour groups, our seaside glamping tents offer uninterrupted ocean views, gentle sea breeze, and the chance to spot dolphin fins and turtle heads right from your tent — all with direct access to our private beach. The camp offers shared bathrooms, solar-powered lighting, and a peaceful, off-grid atmosphere—perfect for nature lovers and those seeking true solitude. Access is only possible with a 4x4 vehicle. Pick-up and drop-off from Mahout is available. Please note: Driving to the camp on your own is not easy for beginners, as the route crosses salt banks and sandy areas where it’s easy to get stuck. There are no signposts and no mobile network coverage along most parts of the way. If you get stuck, it can be very difficult for us to locate and assist you. For your safety and convenience, we strongly recommend using our transfer service, unless you’re highly experienced in off-road driving and navigation. Children are welcome, and flexible sleeping arrangements are possible in each tent.

Oceam Camp is located in the heart of Bar Al Hikman, a remote and protected coastal area known for its salt flats, turquoise lagoons, and untouched natural beauty. The camp sits directly by the sea in a quiet, secluded spot—far from tourist routes and daily tour groups. Guests can enjoy breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, birdwatching, and the peaceful rhythm of the ocean. Activities such as snorkeling, boat trips, or transfers to kite spots can be arranged on request. The area is ideal for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone seeking silence and wide open skies.
