We purchased our home several years ago and have since turned it into a welcoming space for travelers looking for a home away from home. Welcome to Unk's House Homestay, your perfect getaway on Panglao Island! We are excited to welcome you and your family to our cozy and family-friendly accommodation. We are conveniently located just a short 10-minute walk (500 meters) away from Alona Beach, where you can enjoy the sun, sand, and sea. Our homestay offers seven comfortable rooms. Whether you are a solo traveler, a couple, or a group, we have the perfect room for you. You can choose from rooms for two people with private or shared bathrooms, family/group rooms for up to four people, or premium rooms with their own bathroom, TV, and AC. Rent the whole house of 5 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 15 people, or one of our hotel style rooms. We pride ourselves on providing a clean and simple accommodation that combines provincial charm with modern amenities. Our outdoor eating area and rooftop garden offer the perfect setting for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Panglao. At Unk's House Homestay, we treat our guests like family. We are always happy to help with any questions or requests you may have to ensure that your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. And don't forget to start your day with our delicious complimentary breakfast served from 6 am to 10 am before embarking on your adventures. Please note that getting to our homestay is part of the adventure. You will need to walk up a lit laneway and through another property to reach us. But trust us, it's worth it! On arrival, our two friendly dogs will greet you with barks that soon turn into tail wags once they get to know you. Although we are not a resort, we offer a unique experience that you won't find elsewhere. Please be aware that we do not have a pool and we are 400 meters from Alona Beach. Getting to our homestay may require a short walk back from the main road, but don't let that discourage you! It's only a few lanes and yards away, and once you arrive, you'll be greeted with a warm welcome and a comfortable stay. The best part? You're just a short walk away from some fantastic restaurants and bars. We highly recommend trying the local BBQ for a special treat – the lechon manok (BBQ chicken) is simply first class. And if you're looking for a snack or some fresh fruit, you won't have to look far. For even more variety, take a ride up to the Panglao Markets, which is only 10 minutes away. You'll find an amazing selection of fresh produce and local delicacies. But that's not all – there's plenty to do around our homestay as well. Just 50 meters down the road, you can rent a motorbike for as little as 350 php per day, and the longer you keep it, the cheaper it gets! And if you prefer not to ride, transportation is easily accessible from our doorstep, as bikes and jeepneys stop frequently to offer you a ride. But honestly, you won't even need a bike to get to the beach – it's barely a 10-minute walk away! Just turn right at the end of our path, then right again at Bohol Divers Resort, and you're there! Follow the beach along to discover all the other bars and restaurants – you really can't get lost. At our homestay, we believe that simplicity and hospitality are the keys to a memorable stay.
