We personally welcome our guests in our 1 bedroom flat, giving our recommendations about the city, where to go, where to eat, wine bars, top cafés, etc. We also provide a big list with our very own and local recommendations, as well as some welcome gifts like a bottle of Portuguese wine, coffee and tea! We do everything for our guests to feel at home! Alfama is a 2000 year old medieval neighborhood, the second oldest in Europe, that stretches from the river all the way up the hill. PARKING AND GETTING TO THE FLAT: Only residents can access the heart of Alfama with the car. However, there are paid parking options 10 minutes away from the flat, by the river. Just ask us! Ubers (Go to the Departures Gate to get an Uber) can drop you off at Cç. de São Vicente, 76. It is a short walk from there to the flat. Taxis can drop you off at Rua das Escolas Gerais, 13, and the stairs on the opposite side is our street. However, we DON'T recommend Taxis coming from the airport, as they can overcharge you. Metro is 10 minutes away, uphill, from the Santa Apolónia metro station (Blue line), which is also one of the main train stations is Lisbon. Get the Metro at the Airport station (Red line), change at São Sebastião (Blue line), and head to Santa Apolónia station (35 minutes).

We are 2 portuguese brothers that love to travel! We both had the opportunity to study and live abroad throughout our lives, which gave us the chance to meet people from all over the world. Our 1 bedroom flat, plus a sofa bed in the living room, is totally renewed, located in the historical old town, and in a very quiet street, literally 9 minutes away from the Santa Apolónia Metro and Train's stations, right next to the river Tejo, and a stone's throw from the Cathedral (Sé), Pantheon, Mosteiro de São Vicente de Fora, amazing viewpoints and plenty of other great attractions! Alfama, which with roughly 2000 years of age, is the most historical and traditional quarter of Lisbon, and second oldest in Europe, where “FADO" means a lot to the locals, and it stretches from the river Tejo all the way up the hill. Alfama is a very safe area, known for its history and old traditions, where the Portuguese culture is very marked, with lots of great restaurants with Portuguese traditional cuisine, as well as activities all year long. You’re in a walking distance (10 minutes) to the Castle, (10 minutes) Baixa-Chiado (downtown), Tejo River (5 min), Graça neighborhood with its amazing viewpoints (5 min), Rossio (10 minutes), etc. Just 2 minutes away from the flat you'll find the buzzing flea market, the main and oldest one in Lisbon, that takes place on Saturdays and Tuesdays, also filled with lovely cafes and terraces with lots of people and families spending sunny mornings and afternoons while some of the oldest Lisbon characters do their trade. On the weekends, some bars close at 2am and some of those places usually have live music!
