Chill out and relax in true Portuguese style at Casa da Aldeia, an old farm from the year 1911 The two cottages were originally part of a traditional Portuguese farm. Vila Primaveira was the hayloft and vila Verão the cooking house. However, they have both been renovated to offer the perfect Portuguese holiday experience. Both of the cottages still contain many of the original authentic details such as a well, traditional oven and the preserved tile flooring. This traditional Portuguese feel at the Casa de Aldeia resonates throughout the local area of Santa Babara de Nexe. The two Portuguese holiday homes have their own private entrance, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, living room and outdoor eating area. The cottages also come with free Wi-Fi. Shared areas include the rooftop terrace, garden with sun beds and swimming pool and access to the BBQ. Casa da Aldeia has stunning views over the bay of Faro and is therefore eminently also a good base for the Algarve. Algarve is literally at your feet.
It is a cosy traditional Portuguese farm from the year 1911 whose authentic details are coming back anywhere. All buildings are painted in the original colors of blue and white. Al together it is a beautiful, colorful picture. We grow our own herbs which are available be to all our guests. We also make our own yoghurt, ice cream and jam. We are always here to help and have lots to recommendations, so please feel free to ask us any questions.
If you want to change things up and experience some of the local city life then Faro is just a 12 minute drive away. With an array of restaurants, cafes and a beautiful beaches Faro is a great insight into what the Algarve has to offer. Away from the hustle and bustle of Faro you can find a range of beautiful island beaches that can be reached by a small train or boat. Away from the sea, you can head to Monchique where you will find the best views the Algarve has to offer. Sticking with the theme of local produce there are a number of local markets in which you can purchase all the local delicacies including cheese, olives, honey and fresh fruit.
