We love so much the Azores and S. Miguel and this house, that we wish to share it with other families, groups of friends or persons working in the island for some days (we have a good wifi). We like to cook in the kitchen, specially fish and shell fish, but the beefs from the azorean cows you see everywhere in the landscape are also excelent. We also like to dive and to see dolphins and whales, but for that we need to go into an organized group. The youngest males of our family, besides salling and diving, love to surf and to play golf. They go to Santa Barbara surf beach or to Batalha´s golf course for that... To swimm nearby we go to Poços de S. Vicente or to Calheta´s sand beach. But we also like to go to Mosteiros (beautiful for sunset), Ribeira Grande beach or Ribeira Quente (in the south). For hot ocean water don´t miss Ponta das Ferrarias. But landskape and plants are a most in S. Miguel. The lagoons and the roads to reach them are fantastic: Sete Cidades, Fogo, Furnas, but also the smaller lagoons). The forest reserves are enchanted places, frequently with facilities to a grill picnic and with children playgrounds. Ponta Delgada is also an imperdible city, and the Natural History Museum of Carlos Machado Museum is unexpected. We just recently discovered it! You can´t also miss the hot ferrous sweet waters, specially those of Furnas: Dona Beija (you must reserve by net) or the lagoon inside Terra Nostra Park, with has also a big collection of beautiful plants, not all from the Azores. There are very good restaurants in the island, if you don´t want to cook. Cais 20 in S. Roque (near Ponta Delgada), Botequim Açoreano nearby in Rabo de Peixe, Mercado da Vila in Vila Franca do Campo, Meet (and also tuna) in Cooperativa Agrícola in Santana, and many others.
