Welcome to Casa do Areal, a beautifully remodeled, charming countryside retreat that holds a special place in our hearts. This house was once the home of our grandparents for over 30 years, lovingly built by our grandfather and his sons in 1975. It’s where we played as children, creating cherished memories surrounded by family and laughter. Sadly, during the devastating wildfires of 2017, the house was partly destroyed, and the loss we felt inspired us to rebuild it with even more love and care, restoring it to its rightful place as a home for new memories. Nestled in a tranquil cul-de-sac in Mira, a peaceful coastal town along Portugal’s picturesque Costa de Prata, Casa do Areal offers the perfect balance of serenity and adventure. Just a few minutes’ drive (or a leisurely bike ride) to the beach, the house’s backyard opens up to a lush forest, where the trees and vibrant greenery will accompany you throughout your stay. If you love nature, the great outdoors, and savoring traditional local cuisine, get ready for an unforgettable experience. The area offers a wealth of activities to immerse yourself in—whether you enjoy walking, cycling, birdwatching, canoeing, or surfing, it’s all just a stone’s throw away. Casa do Areal is located in a very quiet street, lined with family houses and pine forests. Very close to places like Lagoa de Mira, Moinhos da Fazendeira and Praia de Mira. Close to several picnic parks, it is served by several options for pedestrian or cycle routes. Only 1 hour away from Oporto and its airport, the house is very close to fantastic well-known cities in the country such as Aveiro, Coimbra and Figueira da Foz. Located on the Silver Coast, in the Gandara region, during your stay in Casa do Areal you can discover a unique culture, gastronomy, nature and tons of great thing to enjoy your time 🦩🍀😉
