Casa de São João is located in one of the most beautiful Fajãs of São Jorge, on the seafront overlooking the island of Pico. The Space: The access and use is exclusive to guests and has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on two floors: on floor 0 there is a bedroom (two single beds) with bathroom and a small laundry room. On the first floor there is a living room with an open and fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom that supports the living room and a bedroom (two single beds), and the master bedroom (one king bed) with bathroom. The house has free wi-fi, satellite TV in the living room and master bedroom, hairdryers in all 3 bathrooms. The access between the bedroom on the ground floor and the first floor is by an external staircase (not recommended for children). Outside, on the 1st floor, you can find a more sheltered patio for meals and another one facing the sea, great to enjoy the view of Pico island and the sunset. The land at the back of the house has been used for cultivation for social support.

Casa de São João is located about 45 minutes (40 km) from Velas airport. Car rental is very important to better enjoy your stay in São Jorge. The cars are parked on the street in front of the house. The entrance to the house is through a footpath of approx. 50 m. About 150 m from the house you will find a small harbour, great for diving in the Atlantic in front of Pico island. There is a fantastic trail that crosses Fajã de São João, providing unique walks along the coast and mountain. At the entrance of Fajã there is a small cafe/restaurant where you can order light meals or eat on site. About 15 min car drive away is the restaurant O Caseiro, in Topo, serving good local food. The nearest small grocery store, Café e Mercearia Alves, is about 10 min drive away, in Santo Antão (direction Topo). In Calheta and Velas you will find 2 good supermarkets. These are located close to the airport, about 45 minutes drive from the house, so we recommend that you buy your groceries beforehand.
