The Estalagem de Marvão is located within the historic walled town center of Marvão. This restored property has comfortable rooms in an ancestral environment in the Portuguese Interior and includes a shop selling regional products. All of the house’s air-conditioned rooms feature a private bathroom with a hairdryer, wooden floors, and flat-screen satellite TV. The building has been renovated, whilst maintaining its original structure, antique furniture and access to regional agricultural and handicraft products. A rich buffet breakfast, with regional products, is served each morning in the Estalagem’s dining room. There is also a communal kitchen with a microwave, stove, oven, refrigerator, toaster and kettle, which guests can use upon request. Local restaurants are accessible within 50 metres from the house, all featuring typical Portuguese cuisine. The house has a comfortable lounge, complete with satellite TV and wood-burning stove for cold winter days. The property includes a small sunny patio, where guests can quietly relax. A tour desk is also a part of the Estalagem. Estalagem de Marvão houses a regional store: Mercearia de Marvão. This shop sells regional food products as well as arts and crafts associated with the area.The Inn provides guided tours inside the village and also on the mountain tracks around it. During summer, guests can use the municipal swimming pools for free, in Portagem. It is a 29-minute drive to Portalegre, with its many shops, restaurants, cafés and bars. The Estalagem de Marvão is a 24-minute drive from the border into neighbouring Spain.
