Set in tropical palm gardens with 2 swimming pools and views of the Atlantic Ocean, Hotel Girassol offers modern and spacious rooms with private balconies. Accommodations at Hotel Girassol are decorated in warm colours and have floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto the balcony. The rooms and suites have a flat-screen TV with cable channels. The Hotel renovated all the public areas towards the end of 2016. The spacious restaurant borders the garden and offers salads and pastas. Restaurant has a terrace and offers different choices of fish, meat, salads and pastas. Guests can enjoy an evening drink from the modern First Lounge Bar. The pool area features a sundeck as well as a partly covered terrace. The Girassol is situated 2 km away from the Funchal’s city centre, which is a 30-minute walk away. The 24-hour staff can arrange car rentals and free private parking is available.
