Built with a big family in mind our house is the perfect retreat for large groups of friends or familys looking for a mountain getaway. The inside is decorated in the traditional portuguese mountain house style with furniture guaranteed to take you back to other times while providing modern confort. Our garden has several areas, a rest area with hammcok and swing chair, a relaxing area where you can place our beach beds and lots of local trees and plants that fill the air with the mountain aromas. With 1500 square meters of private are In the winter you can even do snow sled races with the kids or built your own snow park outside. The dinning area outside in the summer provides a unique view to the Torre location, the peak of the Serra da estrela and in the summer nights its the perfect view point for the shooting starts that cross the sky.
As nature lovers ourselfs this house was a dream come true for our family. From here we can enjoy all the mountain has to offer and everyday is an adventure. When we need to get in touch with the simple pleasures of life we leave our city life and run up the hill literelly. Hope our guests can enjoy and experience the amazing things we live here.
Located in the heart of Serra da Estrela - Penhas da Saude is the perfect location to acess all the amazing things Portugal highest mountain has to offer. Hiking trails straight from our house, natural pools five minute walk from the propretry and the best restaurants in the area steps away too. In the winter time the ski resort is 15 minute drive away but if skiing or snowboarding is not your thing you can walk 5 minutes to the Ice Arena just next to our house and try ice skating.
