Quinta Esperança is a beautifully preserved historic estate, formerly the second hotel ever built in Funchal. Today, it has been carefully restored and converted into five independent apartments, each combining the charm of its heritage with modern comfort.

Neighbourhood information

Located in a quiet residential area, the property is surrounded by several traditional Quintas and sits just a short walk from one of the best local bakeries. A small supermarket nearby offers fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables. The Quinta is also very close to Funchal’s charming Old Town, where you’ll find many excellent restaurants. For added convenience, there is a bus stop right outside, making it easy to explore the city. Staying here offers a peaceful escape from the busy tourist areas while remaining wonderfully close to Funchal’s centre.
