Quinta dos Baldo's goal is to assure a quality rural tourism experience, providing comfort and well being. The house was rebuilt using the original stone, and the interiors were thought to enhance a unique environment: air conditioning, TV, wood stove, handmade clay floor, wooden ceiling, all designed to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Considering the limitations caused by deadlines and budget, the project was carried out in the most ecological and sustainable ways. To keep the house hot in the winter and fresh in the summer its walls and ceiling were insulated with cork, a regional and natural material. The floor was made by the owner, using pine wood, clay and grit, a traditional low-carbon emissions technique.
