I’m a Brazilian-American who’s lived a few different lives in a few countries and recently made Portugal my home. Combining my dabbles in homesteading, passion for nature and sharing homemade food and good times with friends and family, I was drawn to creating an unique experience for guests in this breathtaking part of Portugal. Here I feel at home, where one can easily partake in slow living, which is not just about slowing down, but rather embracing a more intentional and meaningful approach to life.

At Quinta Mourada Bed and Breakfast, you can unplug in a tranquil setting, rejuvenate, reawaken your connection with nature and serve it as a base for several attractions in the Silver Coast. The 4 cozy ensuite rooms feature French doors that open to a small terrace, facing the garden and pool. They are minimally decorated with traditional and vintage Portuguese accessories and equipped with an AC/heater unit, wi-fi, custom-made bed with local pine, 25-cm foam mattress, cotton bedding and towels, all made in Portugal, a hair dryer, natural artisan soaps and candles. In addition to the ensuite rooms, the Quinta features many spaces of entertainment, which guests can use as if they were home, including the communal, fully equipped kitchens (indoor and outdoor) with woodfired ovens and grill. Inside the main house, guests can enjoy the living room with a fireplace and skylight, TV, books, games and record player, the dining area in the old wine cellar with high ceiling, the large lounge upstairs and the Finnish sauna. Outside, they can swim in the pool, take outdoor showers, as well as eat and relax in the several sitting areas relishing the expansive view of the vineyard, garden, and forest. Children of all ages can have a good time with the farm animals and in the small playground in the orchard. Homemade meals and massages are available upon prior arrangement. There are also laundry facilities and ample secured parking onsite with direct access to the rooms.

Located in the small village of Toxofal do Cima, the Quinta has several nature walks and trails outside its gate and within short drives, easy access to all the amenities of the nearby city of Lourinhã, the dinosaur capital (8 mins), nearby breathtaking beaches are 12 minutes away, Lisbon and Nazaré - 50 minutes; Obidos and Caldas da Rainha - 30 minutes; Peniche - 24 minutes; Montejunto Mountain Protected Landscape - 45 minutes; Buddha Eden Garden of Peace - 20 minutes
