Between the sea and the forest is Retiro Atlântico (Atlantic Retreat) - Parque de Campismo Rural, the first glamping on São Jorge Island, Azores, Portugal with certified organic farming. We have around 1500 varieties of plants, including a collection of rare and organic tropical and subtropical fruit trees, the biggest in Portugal! In this little paradise created by Hugo and Natacha your nights are spent in the comfort of a yurt, circular tents traditionally used by Mongolian nomadic shepherds. The glamping has four tents in total, each with its unique decor where the rustic contrasts with the sophisticated. Each yurt has wi-fi access and also its own private bathroom located outside the tent, a few meters away. The yurts are cleaned and bed linen and towels changed every 3 nights. Staying in a yurt is a unique experience of glamour in nature. It is waking up to the sound of birds, it is being surrounded by numerous varieties of plants and enjoying one of the best views: the view to Pico´s mountain. Your stay includes breakfast every morning in the main house. There is also a communal kitchen if you wish to cook your own meals.

Retiro Atlântico is located in Urzelina, one of the best areas of the island. The center of the parish is roughly 1 km away from the property where you can find a mini-market, cafes, restaurants and an ATM machine. Near the glamping there are also several swimming areas.
