Studios with Mezzanine Rua da Moeda is a set of 7 self-catered Studio apartments, all below the roof with lots of skylights and wooden beams showing the over 200 year old roof construction. The Studios are accessible through a nice stairway with tiles from the early 19th century. These 7 Studios are located in the neighborhood known as Cais do Sodré with its official name MISERICORDIA. The building has restaurants in the ground floor, offices in the 1st floor and 7 fully equipped Studio apartments in the 2nd floor. It is located in front of a park and right opposite of famous Lisbons´ market MERCADO DA RIBEIRA with half of the space being TIME OUT MARKET with over 30 food stalls of best chef cooks of Lisbon. The property is 250 meters away from central, 300 metres from Bairro Alto and 500 metres from historical Chiado. Lisbon’s International Airport is located 8.3 km away from the units. This accommodation has no reception and guests do self-check-in with a digital key code and also do self-check-out . The property will ask you for your personal email address and WhatsApp number. It is mandatory prior arrival to do an online- check -in procedure. After submitting, the digital key code will be created and it is valid during the stay. The key code is needed to enter the building, a hallway door and the door of the booked Studio.

Susanne Peitz was born in Lisbon in Sep. 1967, went to Lisbon's' German School, studied hotel management, worked 14 years for Lufthansa at Lisbon airport and ended up dedicating her life to the family business which is taking care of the historical building where she rents out offices and restaurants just like she manages 7 touristic Studios. She speaks 5 languages and loves to host and decorate.

Our property is family owned and the building was constructed at the end of 18th century after the devastating earthquake in 1755. There are 13 offices on the 1st floor, 7 Studios on the 2nd floor and 5 restaurants in the ground floor. The building is well maintained and has been modernized along the last 30 years. It is located in the historical area known as " Cais do Sodré " with its official name " Misericórdia ". Lisbon is one of the eldest capitals in Europe... around 6000 years ago it was founded. Cais do Sodré is the best spot for public transport. Metro, train to Cascais, ferries across the Tejo- river, Buses, Tramways, Taxis are available within 2 minutes walk. TukTuks and touristic hop-on-hop-off Buses stop here too, just like main touristic sightseeing ships. Studios with Mezzanine is in business since July 2014 and started with Superior Studio 6. Now a set of 7 Studios are active. Susanne belongs to the family which owns the building. Mauro is her partner and assistant. Mauro is a pro in " what- to- do- in -Lisbon". Olga is the main housekeeper.

Located in the best area in Lisbon, right in the bottom of the 7-hill - city, 50 meters opposite gourmet market "TIME OUT MARKET" and 200 meters away from the river banks of River " Tejo ". The neighborhood is famous for fashion restaurants, nightlife (Pink Street 350 mts away) and Time Out Market with 30 food stalls of chef cooks. This area is loved by all Portuguese & visitors of all ages and every visitor in Lisbon drops by this area. "Cais do Sodré" (neighborhood is officially called Misericórdia) is the best spot for public transport , food and beverage in Lisboa.

Please note that there is no daily cleaning of the Studio. You may request cleaning at Studios Mezzanine for an additional fee. Bedsheets and towels are changed every 5 days.

Please note that the accommodation has no reception. Kindly inform Studios with Mezzanine what time you estimate check -in and check-out.

Please note that the Studios are not recommended for small children or guests with limited mobility because of their high mezzanines. They are allowed though but under the guest's own risk.

Please note that dogs are only allowed upon request and subject to approval.

Please inform the property in advance of your stay if you plan to bring dogs service animals.

Please note that dogs will incur an additional charge of 50EUR per stay.

Please note that a maximum of 2 dogs is allowed per booking.

Please note that the property can only accommodate pets with a maximum weight of 12 kg or less on Superior Studio with Balcony and Mezzanine.

Please note that all Studios are on the 2nd story of the building and accessible through 4 flights of stairs.

Please note that we do not serve meals.

Please note that the 7 Studios with Mezzanine are located on the 2nd floor of the building. The building, like most buildings in historic areas of Lisbon, does not have an elevator. The staircase is wide and beautiful, with old tiles.
