We are Franco and Hilaría, administrators of this local accommodation in Madeira. Our purpose is to provide our guests with a comfortable and pleasant stay in addition to establishing friendship ties with them that will last over time. Born in Venezuela, of Italian and Portuguese parents, we have fused customs and traditions that make us a multicultural family. We like to meet people from different cultures and share with them our customs and traditions and thus enrich each other in the cultural aspect. At the request of our guests, we offer some typical dishes from our roots and thus share the flavors that distinguish us. We love good food, so there is always plenty here. We are passionate about the treasure that is nature, and what it teaches us, that is why we support the care and preservation of the environment and its resources. We have comfortable, ventilated and naturally illuminated spaces that invite you to relax and meditate. Each room has its own private bathroom, double bed and kitchen equipped with refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, toaster and other kitchen utensils. We also have cable TV service and WiFi network for unlimited and completely free internet access. We have open spaces with large gardens and a private viewpoint overlooking the bay of Lugar De Baixo from where you can appreciate truly spectacular sunsets. It has access to a terrace for common use in front of the house, from where you can see, without obstacles and in the front row, the sunrise or sunset in the sea, enjoying its magical colors and brightness while you have breakfast, dinner, share with friends or enjoy an intimate moment in the moonlight. To help you make the most of your trip and make your stay a pleasantly unforgettable experience, we want you to know as soon as you arrive what experiences you want to live on this trip: adventure, sport, fun, culture, relaxation, exploration, etc. to suggest some routes or activities that might be of interest to you. In addition, they will be able to explore the farm where the house is located, and take from the crops: vegetables, seasonal fruits and aromatic herbs. Upon request and for a small fee, you can enjoy nutritious breakfasts or a romantic dinner typical of Venezuelan gastronomy and drinks upon request. They can even start the two barbecue stations. Anyway, we live on the 2nd floor of the property, so we can assist you when you need it.

The accommodation is located in the Tabua Parish, from there it takes its distinctive name. Tabua is a Portuguese Parish in the Municipality of Ribeira Brava, with an area of 11.10 km² and 1,105 inhabitants (2001). Its population density is 99.5 inhabitants/km². Its main activity is agriculture specialized in the cultivation of bananas and several Local Accommodations have recently appeared in the area, each day more in demand. The Municipality of Ribeira Brava has an area of 65.10 km² and 12,494 inhabitants (2001). It is bordered to the north by Ponta do Sol, and to the south by the Atlantic Ocean. The parishes of Ribeira Brava are the following: Campanario, Ribeira Brava, Serra Da Agua and Tabua. The Municipality of Ribeira Brava and specifically the Tabua Parish have a spring climate practically all year round (at least 9 months). This makes it a very desirable place for the inhabitants of northern European countries, Canada and the United States. The Villa de Ribeira Brava is about 12min (6.8km) by car. It has a spa, gym, swimming pool complex, supermarkets, restaurants, snack bar, shops, museum, sports center, car rental, health centers and other services in general. In the town and its surroundings, different cultural and social shows are held throughout the year and water sports are practiced. There are organic crops nearby and popular markets where you can buy high quality products. 25 minutes away (approx. 21km) are the caves of San Vicente and the road that leads to the mountains and its spectacular forests, as well as restaurants such as Encumeada and Trianguloso, the popular bars of Poncha in Serra de Agua. Viewpoints such as Cabo Girao (17min (14.4km)), Faja Dos Padres (15min (12km)) and others. Due to the steepness of the local topography (the entire island), it is advisable to rent a car to be able to explore and discover the innumerable points of interest that the island has.
