Tucked away between the mountains and the endless beaches that the Algarve offers, is a small-scale organic farmstead, called The Lemon Lodge. It was the dream of a group of friends to start a farmstead with lodging. Driven by permaculture principles and a passion for living a sustainable lifestyle where nature sets the pace, they envisioned The Lemon Lodge. The lodge is powered by solar energy and water is pumped from the well that is naturally filtered, leaving a taste of fresh spring-water on the palate. We offer off-grid lodgings where one can stay to detach from modern life demands and be at one with the surroundings.

The restored Algarvian Taipa farmhouse is split into two unique lodgings. Surrounded by pine trees both suites have a spectacular view of the valley and the food gardens. Ziggurat is a spacious suite for two people with a private terrace. The suite has a large bedroom with en-suite bathroom that overlooks the garden. In the living room is a fireplace with lounge and an open plan kitchen that faces the valley. Tikka is a spacious and lush family suite. It comfortably sleeps four people in a double- and queen sized bed. The suite has a large lounge with fireplace opposite the open plan kitchen. The private terrace has a hammock area, lounge and dinning table with a view of the valley.

This part of the Algarve has in recent years emerged as a surfers and hikers haven as the stunning coastline provides world class surf and spectacular views. Hugged by Cape St Vincent Natural Park and the beautiful mountains of Monchique there is lots to explore by car, bike, horse or by foot.
