Villa CristiPaulo is a ground floor home in the heart of the Ria Formosa, overlooking this rich nature reserve famous for its shellfish, wildlife and flora. Villa CristiPaulo is a spacious 2-bedroom home with a terrace overlooking the Ria. The open plan space seamlessly combines kitchen, dining area and living space. The large four glass sliding doors give an expanse of natural light capturing the morning and evening hues. There are 2 bedrooms, both with double beds. The bathroom has 2 hand basins, bidet and a walk-in shower, plus a WC. Showel gel and hand soap are provided. The living space has a 3-seater sofa and 2 armchairs, a smart TV and access to the terrace where there is a large table with chairs to enjoy your outdoor eating experiences. You'll also find 2 wooden sun loungers and from this terrace there is direct access to the Ria. You'll have parking available for one vehicle (car/light vehicle) and your pets are also very welcome visitors. There are plenty of bars and restaurants serving local cuisine of locally caught fish and shellfish, and also European food. Praia De Faro is also famous for its "Tosta Mista".

Our house and home, Villa CristiPaulo has been in the family for more than 70 years. It was built in one of the first settlements of adventurers in the area known as Zona dos Pioneers on Praia de Faro. My late mother chose the name of CristiPaulo after myself and my brother when she decided to renovate the house. The view over the Ria Formosa (Lagoon) has an aura of calmness and tranquility. Recognised as a natural park it is hugely important for the preservation of wildlife in particular birds. Famous also for its abundance of shellfish, clams, oysters, fiddler crabs and cockles. I learnt from my grandmother how to dig for clams and cockles at low tide, and this tradition has been continued over the years. One minute walk away is what we call the Costa or beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Great for surfing and also walking to the Barrinha, where lagoon meets the ocean. It's a 40-minute walk and best at low tide. Faro is 7 kms away and easily reachable by the ferry which takes 20 minutes.

Villa Cristipaulo is situated on the Avenida Nascente of Praia De Faro, 5 minutes walk from the ferry and 20 minutes walk to the bridge. There are 2 mini markets, the nearest is 5 minutes walk away. There are a number of bars and restaurants catering for a wide range of tastes. The Centro Nautico - is a Centre for Watersports (5 mins walk away) and has a unique location on the Lagoon. It has its own jetty and covers a wide range of watersports from Kayaking to SUP, to name a few. Across the bridge you'll find a walkway that takes you through Ludo where you can spot flamingoes and other migratory birds. Continuing on from Ludo you can reach Quinta Do Lago, passing alongside the golf courses in that area.
