Villa Sundowner invites you to spend a wonderful time in Madeira. It is located at an altitude of about 400m overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in the tranquil village of Prazeres, a district of the municipality of Calheta. Prazeres is located on the south side of the island and is one of the places with the best weather in Madeira. The nearest bathing facilities are in Jardim do Mar and Praia de Calheta. They are a little more than 10 minutes away by car. The capital of Madeira, Funchal, can be reached in about 45 minutes and it is less than 60 minutes to Santa Cruz Airport. The Villa Sundowner offers you not only 140sqm a lot of space but also everything your heart desires: The 3 tastefully decorated bedrooms can sleep up to 6 people (+ optionally a toddler). From almost all rooms you have a sea view. The master bedroom is equipped with a king-size bed (1.80 x 2.00m), from which you look directly to the sea and have direct access to the terrace. In addition, the bedroom has a so-called "bathroom en suite", that is, a private bathroom with a shower. The other two bedrooms each have a queen-size bed (1.60 x 2.00m and 1.50 x 2.00m respectively). When looking out of the window you can see in the direction of Estreito de Calheta. In addition to the "bathroom en suite" there is another bathroom with a shower, as well as an extra room with a washing machine. The villa has an open kitchen, which is integrated into the living room with the dining area. The kitchen offers a lot of storage space and is equipped with high-quality branded electrical appliances and kitchen utensils. The large refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, induction stove, microwave, oven, coffee maker with timer function, kettle, and toaster - here you will lack almost nothing. In the living area, you have the best place from the sofa to the smart TV or looking at the sea.

When we spent our family vacation on Madeira for the first time in the summer of 2022, it had a lasting impact on us. We immediately fell in love with this island and knew that we would visit more often. We decided to buy our villa with a pool, jacuzzi, and sea view - our absolute dream - and offer it to other guests. It was very important to us to offer our guests an unforgettable and carefree time in our villa and from our side we did everything for it. Like for example the fully equipped kitchen with high-quality electrical appliances and utensils. We are very close to nature and at the same time gourmets. Therefore Madeira is the perfect island for us with the countless and varied possibilities for hiking, swimming, and outdoor sports, but also the many excellent restaurants and fresh food, as well as the fresh fish and meat from the island. The climate in Prazeres is one of the most pleasant in Madeira - in summer as well as in winter. The nearest bathing facilities are in Jardim do Mar and Praia de Calheta. They are a little more than 10 minutes away by car. Many hiking trails (including levada trails), such as to Paul do Mar and Jardim do Mar, start in the immediate vicinity of the villa and are within walking distance. The village center of Prazeres is about 5 minutes away by car. Here you will find, among other things, the XS Café with excellent coffee and cakes. Restaurants are also 5 minutes away by car, as well as the nearest supermarket where you can get the essentials. A full-line supermarket of the chain "Pingo Doce" is located in Calheta, which is about 15 minutes away by car. It is open daily from 8 am to 2 pm. Calheta has two sandy beaches and one beach with stones, as well as a small, cozy harbor where there are a number of very good restaurants. Boat tours depart from the harbor to observe dolphins and whales in the wild, among other things. The capital of Madeira, Funchal, can be reached in about 45 minutes by car. Here you can find all shopping possibilities but of course also many sights and the big marina. The airport in Santa Cruz is less than 60 minutes away from the villa.
