The hotel's elegant restaurant serves traditional Romanian cuisine and a fine selection of wine. Approximately 70 km from Curtea de Arges, the Piscul Negru is a good starting base to go skiing on the hotel's private ski slope, go hiking on the mountain trails or enjoy hunting in the Carpathian forests. Hotel Piscul Negru is a 50-minute drive from Poienari fortress or the Vidraru dam. Guests can also explore the glacier lake Balea, which is situated at 2,034 metres above sea level, a 25-minute drive away.
