Recommendation for 2-day activity @VIRAJLUX MASSIF PIATRA CRAIULUI 📅 Day 1 – Arrival & Light Exploration • Arrival at VIRAJLUX, check-in, and enjoy the panoramic view of the Piatra Craiului ridge. • Afternoon • Drive: ~25 min (8.5 km) to the entrance of Dâmbovicioara Gorge from the village. The gorge is about 1 km from Podu Dâmboviței, on DN73, with access from the county road following Valea Dâmbovicioara. • Walk through the gorge – entrance fee: 3 lei/person. • Visit Dâmbovicioara Cave, located just after the gorge – open 9:00–17:00, entrance fee: 15 lei/adult, 3 lei/child. • Optional: walk 900 m to the Izvoarele din Plai (small waterfall). • Evening • Return to VIRAJLUX. For authentic local food, nearby you’ll find Restaurants (open until 20:00), • A barbecue and firewood are available, along with fire starter, so you can enjoy an evening fire or barbecue anytime during your stay. 📅 Day 2 – Dâmbovicioara Gorge → Brusturet Circuit • Morning • Free coffee or tea at VIRAJLUX. • Depart by car through Dâmbovicioara Gorge and further to Brusturet Gorge (~5 km, paved road). • On the way: Izvoarele din Plai waterfall, Gaura Brusturetului (also known as “Pestera Dracului” – Devil’s Cave) at the confluence of Brusturet and Valea Muierii. • Stop for photos and breaks. • Lunch • Lunch at Cabana Brusturet, in Poiana Brusturet (altitude ~1020 m). • Afternoon • Optional short hike (0.5–1 h) around the cabin, either down the road towards the Dâmbovicioara communal farm, or up the road from VIRAJLUX to the small roadside cross (troiță) with views of the Bucegi Mountains.
