Located on a cool, tranquil mountainside, within convenient range of beaches, restaurants and hikes. A new water storage system has been installed since December 2025 in order to ensure that guests have uninterrupted water supply throughout their stay.

We are both retired and we have enjoyed being host to guests ever since our son who was living in our second house nearby moved to the UK and we decided to convert it into a tourism self-catering establishment. Estelle's passion is gardening and she ensures that the garden is always spruced up with flowering tropical plants, while Bertrand's hobby is bee-keeping and taking care of the fruit trees. Bertrand particularly likes engaging with the guests and ensuring that they make the most of their stay based on their specific interests and activities e.g. which beaches are the best for swimming and snorkelling depending on the time of the year, or which trails are best and safest for hiking.

Our self-catering establishment is conveniently centrally located in the quiet village of Souvenir, La Misere overlooking the west coast and the ocean. It is also close to the Morne Seychellois national park which is the natural habitat for a number of Seychelles indigenous and endemic birds such as the Seychelles Kestrel. There is a local shop (KK Market) within a two minute walk where guests can find most basic household items as well as snacks and beverages including alcohol. The self-catering is located right next to the ruins of the former US Base Commander's residence. The US had a satellite tracking station based at La Misere from from the sixties until the nineties with over one hundred US personnel. The base site where the US staff used to stay has since been converted into the Seychelles Tourism Academy (STA). The STA which is essentially a hotel school is a three minute drive from Villa Mille Soleils; it has a restaurant which is open to the public on selected days of the week except during school holidays.
