Hedenstugan B&B Hotel experience enlivens the senses, instills well-being, and fulfills even the unexpressed wishes and needs of our guests. History... In december 2012 i bought a former "Epidemic Hospital" and transformed the house into a Bed and Breakfast with Hotelstandard. Hedenstugan B/B Hotel opened it´s doors in May 2013. In the beginning the building was used as a poverty home. At the end of the 19th century the building was expended and became an epidemic hospital. After that it was remodeled several times into an office, kindergarten, club house and even a residence. Despite the extensive renovations the original charm of the building remains. The wooden facade painted yellow with typical white knots - this is what an old hospital in the Swedish countryside looks like.

Hedenstugan, about 200km north from Stockholm, is located in Gästrikland, just 6 km from the Baltic coastline and surrounded by forests with extensive hiking tracks and numerous lakes.The small village Bergby is the perfect location to discover differtent regions in Mid-Sweden: Gästrikland, Hälsingland and Dalarna. The traditional wooden property has modernised interiors and is surrounded by a large garden. All rooms at Hedenstugan come with a private bathroom and free Wi-Fi.
