Welcome to Sweden's oldest farmhouse and our log cabin Fryksås Chamber Chamber is a beautiful 50 m2 two-story timbered barn that was moved in 2020 from Älvdalen to where it stands today in Fryksås. The cabin has been tastefully remodeled into a modern log cabin with personal character. Chamber is located on the same plot as our cabin Fryksås Chalet and shares parking, there is also a larger public car park right above the cabin. Härbret is perfect for the family or the smaller group, but also as an extra cabin when booking the larger Chalet cabin. The cottage has amenities such as: - Kitchen with fridge and freezer, stove and oven, microwave, coffee maker and kettle. - Dining area for 6 people with access to the balcony - Bathroom with shower - Miles wide view of Lake Orsa - Cozy terrace with outdoor furniture during the summer. Perfect for a barbecue evening! - Wi-Fi - Cozy little living room with a sofa and TV Entrance When you open the red front door to härbret, you are greeted by a real traditional log cabin. You enter the hall directly with a shoe rack and hat rack. From the hall you reach the accommodation's bathroom on the left. The bathroom is charming and has both timber walls and tiles. There is a shower here. From the hall when you also one of the accommodation's bedrooms and the kitchen with dining area and exit to the balcony. Bedroom 1 is a smaller room with a bunk bed (90 cm) Upstairs The stairs to the upper floor are steep. When you get upstairs, you come straight into the living room where you will find a sofa and a smart TV and entrance to two bedrooms. Bedroom 2 has a bunk bed (90 cm) Bedroom 3 has a family bunk bed (90 cm and 120 cm)

Fryksås is a perfect place to refuel. The nature that Fryksås has to offer is good for mind, body and soul. In addition to all this, there are trails for both cycling and hiking, for cross-country skiing in the winter and plenty of places for outdoor cooking. Regardless of the purpose, a visit to Fryksås will be a memory for life. Fryksås is located 13 km north of Orsa and is an old farm embankment. The village is 503 meters above sea level and offers a magnificent view of the Siljan region. It's almost like going back in time when you come to Fryksås, with its dirt roads and wooden cabins. The village is surrounded by wild nature with paths and tracks and cross-country skiing tracks in winter. 2 km through the forest you reach Orsa Grönklitt, which is a larger facility with summer and winter activities. In Orsa Grönklitt there is also a convenience store, restaurant, ski slopes and cross-country trails. In the summer you can hike, rent a canoe, cycle, ride high-altitude tracks and swim here. 9 km from Fryksås is the village of Hansjö with its own dairy and farm shop. In the building next to the dairy is Hansjö lanthandel, which is an interior design store with new and old. Hansjö lanthandel also has a café. GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE BOOKING The cabin is a self-catering cabin, so guests bring their own consumables such as toilet paper, spices, oil, baking paper, etc. Electric car: There is no electric car charging station at the cottage and it is not permitted to charge from a regular electrical outlet. The nearest electric car charging station is in Grönklitt, 5 minutes away.
