Barbara is very much enjoying spending time with guests in B&B sharing travel experiences. In summer she is also a mountain guide. Her previous job was in finance, in companies in the region, looking over finances, business planning, preparing investment reports, etc. Besides she is also a renowned potter. Clay is wonderful to smirch it, research it and to create with it. In 2010 she won the Major Purchase Prize at Piran Extempore. You could ask her to organize a pottery workshop for you (and your family/friends). She would love day had 25 hours since she is interested in almost anything. She especially adores sea, sailing and diving. Adriatic, The Red Sea, Polinesia, The Great Barrier Reef are the spots she has already visited. Bostjan has worked in advertising for 30 years but now he enjoys in running Base Camp together with Barbara. He's also a mountain guide and during summer it often happens that he's somewhere out on hike. In his few past lives he was an advertising man, a basketball referee, radio announcer and he also had some important roles in Slovene Advertising Chamber. He owned one of the biggest Slovene communication agencies but then completely switched to tourism.

Base Camp is a perfect base for exploring the country. From here everything is near - capital Ljubljana, tourist attractions Bled, Bohinj, Postojna cave, Kranjska Gora, Vršič pass, all our highest mountains Julian Alps, Karavanks range and Savinja & Kamnik Alps. We can give you lots of hints where to go and what to see. You're always welcome in Barbara's pottery art studio where you can try clay modelling. Or ask mountain guide Bostjan about a hike - easy or strenous, nearby or a bit far away, he always has a lot of ideas and suggestions. Our favorite activity is to hike with kids to a mountain hut Plansarija Dolga njiva where they have lots of animals (cows, donkeys, turkeys, pigs, chicken) and great food, to go cycling to and around lake Bled and to visit gorge Mostnica in Bohinj.
