From the cottage, you can see the largest homogeneous larch forest in Slovenia, and it is this very larch that has clad our house and given it the name Vista (view) Larix (larch). It is located in the middle of the forest, with the Lipnik stream flowing 100 meters away. The house was built with our own hands and the help of friends and local craftsmen. It offers complete peace and quiet, except for the birds and the babbling brook. The house has been fully renovated but is 133 years old and remains in family ownership. It is sustainably oriented with its own reservoir of spring water. Words that describe this place include retreat, tranquility, rest, back to nature, love, and connection. We wish for guests who respect nature, separate waste, and understand that we need to treat the earth with respect to ensure a healthy future for our children. Two domestic cats (Blackie and Minka), will share the property with you. They protect us from mice and other critters.

My wish is for people to come to my second home for peace and retreat. I want them to connect with nature and find a connection with themselves. I furnished the house with heart and soul. During the renovation (which took a good two years), Minja, as a construction technician and graduate organizer, looked for affordable solutions and authentic ideas. I believe that we are all hosts from Primož and Ljubno and Slovenia and the world. Hand in hand, we can take care of ourselves and our common future because we are only temporary visitors on this wonderful planet.

From the house, you can see Veliki Vrh, Ojstrica, Podvežak, and the Dleskovška plateau. The first landmark is the church of St. Primož and Felicijan, a 45-minute walk from the house. It is 3 km to the main road, 5 km to the center of Ljubno, 8 km to Luče, 17 km to Solčava, 25 km to the Logar Valley, 60 km to Ljubljana Airport, and 100 km to Maribor. The Upper Savinja Valley is one of the most beautiful valleys in Europe. The people of Ljubno are warm-hearted and have a lot to offer.
