We are a small family with big hearts, who believe in the warmth of home, the simplicity of nature, and the power of shared moments. With love and care, we restored this old house from 1870, which has been in our family for generations – the locals know us as Pr’ Šlosar. Šlosarjeva hiša is not just a place to stay – it’s a place where we joyfully share a piece of ourselves. We love to travel, to create, and to return to the things that matter most – the wooden beams, our garden, and evenings by the fire. This small pearl, surrounded by four castles, lies beneath the steep slopes of Mount Storžič, in the safe embrace of the Zaplata ridge, where the river Kokra begins its journey through the valley. For over nine centuries, this region has been shaped by the mighty mountain backdrop, with peaks that inspire countless visitors to lace up their boots and climb. Storžič, a majestic two-thousand-meter mountain with a striking pyramid shape, grassy Zaplata with the mysterious Hudičev boršt forest, and the glistening churches on the surrounding hills – all are beautifully mirrored in the calm surface of Lake Črnava.
