Hello! We are Alenka and Luka, creating our dreams on the Lovšin Estate, while Luka's father Tone also helps us and stands by our side. As part of the tourist activity, we want to preserve the natural and cultural heritage of the mill estate, live in harmony with nature, and build a trustworthy location where you can relax and enjoy peace. We both spent some time "looking" for ourselves in various professions and services when in 2016 we took over the business from Tone and outlined things a little on our own. The Lovšin family had been millers for at least 5 generations, until the 1960s, when the mills were closed due to agrarian reforms, and the owners had to find work elsewhere. The Lovšin estate certainly flourished in the early 20th century, when the family began to engage in tourism, had an inn and guest rooms, built bathing cabins, and hosted holidays of various societies and institutions. Through our activities, we try to have as little influence as possible on the nature that surrounds us and to develop a boutique and service-oriented activity. Currently, our main source of income is the camp, we also plan to build rooms and accommodation of higher quality.

With an overnight stay, you can experience the charms of camping and direct contact with nature, from the comfort of your bed in the glamorous tent on the Lovšin Estate. The tents are furnished in an eclectic style and combine renovated old and new furniture. We have 2 tents available for rent, which are located in the shady part of the camp and offer the comfort of a room in nature. The accommodation offer includes breakfast, bed linen, towels, own mini kitchen with basic equipment, use of the shared kitchen in the camp, welcome, use of shared toilets, and free use of electric bicycles, canoes, and soups. The tent has a double bed with bed linen and extra bedspreads in case of cold weather. On each side of the bed, there is a nightstand with a reading light and an electrical outlet. There is also a shelf in the tent with a mini-fridge and luggage storage. There is a mini kitchen on the tented terrace with all the basic equipment and a table with 2 chairs. There is also a space in front of the tent where hammocks are placed and comfortable garden chairs for enjoying nature.

The Lovsin estate is located right next to the Kolpa river, on the old mill homestead, which is the largest protected homestead in the entire Bela Krajina. The centuries-old Lovšin mill no longer grinds, but it is well preserved. From here, all the way to the Croatian side, there is a 220m long dam, which is in very good condition. You can fish from the dam, walk on it, sit and let the water flow massages you. Swimming here is also suitable for children, as the water under the dam is very shallow. There are several landscaped lawns for land sports activities, and ordinary and electric bicycles are also available to guests. For those who want to go a little higher, we have even arranged a natural climbing wall. If you want to get to know the river a little closer, we have canoes, kayaks, and SUPs available for you. The estate is located in Križevska vas, which is part of the town of Metlika. We are 3 km away from the old town, and 2 km from the new shopping and residential area. Metlika offers a wealth of experiences, from the Bela Krajina and Firefighters Museum, the Kambič Gallery, the Metlika Wine Cellar, to the medieval town center and interesting surroundings.
