Chaty Tatra ligger i Tatranská Štrba, 10 km fra Skisportstedet Štrbské Pleso, og har en have, en terrasse og grillfaciliteter samt gratis privat parkering. We both are working at the property since 2004. The stay is special because the houses are in the forest and because we speak English, German, Spanish and Italian (Bea also Hungarian) and can advice you best holiday in the High Tatras and neighborhood. If we are not present, you can call us at any time.

Peace in the lap of nature, get together in front of fireplace and sauna in winter. At the foot of the High Tatras mountains, set in a forest at an altitude of 950 meters, Tatra cottages are an ideal starting point for activities in whole regions of Liptov and Spis, but also for relax. Houses are near to cog railway stop so it is easy to get to the High Tatras. Two houses, one next to the other, offer in total 32 beds. Both houses have guest room with traditional fireplace, kitchen, pantry, terrace. A meadow with a fireplace located between the houses, is an attractive place not only for groups but also for a single traveller or couples. Tatra cottages feature a barbecue and sauna. You can connect to Wi-Fi at any time free of charge, but do not search for a television in the houses. It is easily accessible by foot from railway station Strba. Access by car is all year round simple - 700 m from the main road. Parking is available for approx.10 cars. We use environmental practicies - not all are mentioned in Booking sustainability practices. The owners are tourist and mountain guides who speak various languages. Their advice is free of charge.

The houses are located directly in the High Tatras National Park quiet forest holiday resort Tatranská Štrba - Lieskovec in the altitude of 950 meters. Its location is an ideal starting point to all the surrounding national parks - High, West, and the Low Tatras, as well as Slovak Paradise. You can observe forest animals in the immediate vicinity of the houses, as squirrels, roes, in exceptional case also a bear. Wonderful views of Krivan, slovak national peak. There are cross country-ski loops in winter and the nearest ski-resort is Strbske Pleso (easy to reach by cog railway). In summer, the houses are ideal starting point for trekking/hiking and MTB. A meadow with fireplace and a wooden swing located between houses, is an attractive place for groups and families with children. Possibility of collecting mushrooms. All year round access by car, train and cog railway (Strba and Strbske Pleso). Wooden "koliba" = typical restaurant with slovak national dishes just 20 min.walking or 10 min. by car.
