Keur Racine welcomes its guests in a clean, cozy and personally furnished atmosphere. We are happy to respond to guest inquiries and are happy to help with any wishes. Please let us know upon arrival whether you have e.g. breakfast, air conditioning or TV channels (all with extra charge) or other wishes. The rooms are all equipped with a fan, the showers have hot water. The bar on the terrace offers drinks on request from the staff. The house has a private character, you can feel at home. In the kitchen all appliances and crockery are available, including an iron or games. Common areas encourage sharing and are kept clean. If you like, you can also withdraw and enjoy the sunset over the sea on the balcony or the roof terrace with a cool drink.
Hosting is my second passion as a Senegalese. I am communicative, helpful and, together with my team, I am happy to offer people from all over the world a pleasant and unique stay in my home. I was born and raised in Ziguinchor - the nearby small town. I have felt at home in Germany and Senegal for more than 20 years. I look after the guests together with Ousmane.
The long white sandy beach is a 5 minute walk away. The bay is ideal for swimming, as the water is shallow, but there are also surfing opportunities. Long walks on the beach in the sunset behind the sea are possible. Shopping in the local boutiques just opposite, supermarket with many different products about 15 minutes walk away. Various restaurants, bars and hotels of all kinds (from deluxe to beach bars) are just around the corner. There is an airport in the village. In the village there is a private doctor and a small hospital. Ziguinchor, the nearby small town, is about 1-1.5 hours away by public or private transport. Otherwise there are local restaurants in the village of Cap Skirring and also in the other village of Kabrousse, especially with local fish dishes. Excursions to the green countryside and mangrove forests, as well as a tour by pirogue to the river islands, allow wildlife and birds to be seen. Day trips to the small town of Ziguinchor and cultural offerings or to local festivals are also possible. The place of accommodation, Cap Randoulene, is quiet, close to the beach and is outside the immediate village.
