Hey there! We are Mitch and Gigi and we'll be your hosts during your stay at PTH. Mitch has been living in Thailand for 8 years, and in this village for 7 of them. He formerly ran a company training teachers, and has become an expert on visas, arrival info, and living abroad in Thailand. Gigi is half Thai and half British, having grown up in Thailand from the time she was 11. She speaks fluent Thai and has a deep understanding of Thai culture and heritage. We both love to travel, and have been traveling Thailand extensively for most of our lives. We know this country like the back of our hand, and are absolutely experts on anything and everything you could possibly want to know. Our homestay isn't just a place to stay. It comes with resources and expert knowledge to help you along your journey in Thailand. And for most of our 100+ guests over the past year, that was their favorite part! We live in a local village right behind "Central Pinklao", our nearest shopping center. We are within 5 minutes of three different markets including Chang Chui Art Market, Indy Night Market, and Taling Chan Floating Market. We are also only 8 minutes from Oldtown which includes attractions such as the Grand Palace, Wat Pho (the Reclining Buddha), the Temple on the Golden Mount, and the infamous Khao San Road. Another 5 minutes in the same direction and you'll be at Siam Square, the commercial center of the city. However, we're also only about 10 minutes from Silom, which boasts both Asiatique and Icon Siam, two of the coolest attractions in Bangkok. Our area also has dozens of coffee shops, hundreds of local eateries and restaurants, some of the best Muay Thai camps in Bangkok, gyms and yoga studios, and even a bouldering gym! There's even a wakeboarding park only about 15 minutes down the road. We also provide a full travel guide to help you sort this information, and give you ideas for how to see it all.
