VILLA Coconut Sala is a modern tropical Island villa, that blends contemporary with Sala Thai design. Climatically responsive features to suit warm, humid environments, monsoon rains and bright sunlight. This style incorporates elements such as large roof overhangs for shade, and open layouts and ocean breeze facing to promote natural ventilation. The house features siamese architecture with clean white surfaces that provide a striking contrast against the dark wood coloured multi-tiered roof, rustic wooden doors, and handmade Thai furniture. Extensive use of floor to ceiling glass for natural light, offering views of a lush landscape with green coconut palm trees that provide shade and privacy, and beyond to the tropical cove Haad Salad and sunsets. Upstairs is a modern, minimalist open-plan living space and kitchen. The space features a high vaulted ceiling, recessed lights provide flood lighting, and soft glow hanging fishermans basket lamps for low light atmosphere. A dining area with large table and 6 upholstered chairs. A fully equipped kitchen area with modern cabinetry, a counter, and two orange bar stools. The livingroom area has 2 large plush sofas, bamboo lazy chair, coffee table, TV, classic fan, powerfull aircondtioner, and toilet. Thai bamboo blinds provide shade during the afternoon sun. The ground floor has 3 ensuite bedrooms featuring modern, minimalist design with white marble-style flooring and white walls, rustic wood doors, large glass windows with views of tropical greenery. Amenities include a king bed, work desk, large wardrobe, and an air conditioning unit. A laundry and utilities room. Outside a private coconut plantation and small plunge pool (2m x 2m), private motorbike and car parking. The villa is located a 2 minute walk from the beach, elevated at 15 meters, at the foothills of the jungle covered hillside. From the entrance to Villa Chacha, a small old road runs 50 meters up the hill to the house.

Your arrival and departure times to the villa will probably depend on boats and taxis etc. so you may Self check-in (after 3pm) and Self check-out (before 11am). If you tell us your time of arrival we can leave the lights and airconditioners on for you (otherwise we will leave them off). *Please note that the road to the house is an old road that winds through the jungle for about 50 meters. There is no signage or fancy entrance, which helps to keep the location secret an prevent beach goers from taking your parking areas. At first you may wonder if you are at the right place! This short road can also be dark at night, especially if the house lights are not on. This old road is typical for the Island and follows the contours of the land, and short sections are a little steep.

All travellers to Koh Phangan Island arrive by boat at Thong Sala. Get to Villa by either rental motorbike, rental car, or taxi. Authorised Taxis are organised at the ferry arrival area. Motorbikes can also be rented from our neighbours shop. There are local taxi/tour boats on the beach in front of the Villa. Please read the arrival guide that is emailed to you 1 day before your check in. * Please note that while we make every effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible, Koh Phangan is a beautiful but largely undeveloped remote tropical Island covered in jungle. The unique climate, roads, hills, bugs, animals, natural tropical environment, and easy going way of life add to the adventure, and many guests return year after year. Locals love the wild life and the rains when they come. However, for some new visitors it may not meet expectations at first.
