WOODHOUSE Homestay Chiangrai provide 3 beds room and 3 ensuite bathroom for 6-8 people.When you come with 8 person, We will provide extra bed and Free breakfast. Located on a steep hillside with stunning views towards Puh Chi Fah Nature Reservation, about 30 minutes drive to the river Mekong. It's a 2 hours drive from Chiang Rai International Airport, located between Teung and Wiang Kaen. Drive towards Teung and then take road 1155. We do not recommend driving here in the dark, due to a lack of street lights and the signs not being easy to see. Rent our house as your base and visit a community with border to Laos. Not recommended for kids under 8. The materials for our handcrafted wooden house was recycled from 10 old Redwood houses, and then rebuilt over 7 years. It's also beautifully furnished, with pieces in both hand carved Asian and European style. Open the big doors and enjoy the sounds of the birds. Practice your yoga in fresh air on the balconies, some are also shaded. Enjoy a walk in our ecological coffee, tea, vegetables, herbs and fruit plantation. You are welcome to pick what you want to eat under the staff's supervision, as foreigners may not know what's edible. There are 4 outdoor areas to relax/eat, some are under a roof if it happens to be raining.

We are a Thai/Norwegian couple who lives in Norway and want to share our home and ecological farm situated in a very different and exciting area in northern Thailand. Our handmade house and furniture is all collected over years just to celebrate this area Lanna's uniqeness. We love travelling ourselves, and has fantastic experiences in this remote areas with their helpful and friendly inhabitans. We love music from all over the world, local handicrafts and different cultures food and habits. We want to contribute to clean and healthy food, conservation of cultures and share with others. Our motto: Live and Let live.

The area has mountain tribe inhabitants of Chinese origin. They are farmers and live simple. The groups are called Mhong and Yao. Sometimes they are walking along the roads in their local costumes and has wrapped their children in colorful scarves. They walk to and from their fields of rice or vegetables. This area has no public transportations. In advance of your tour you can order Mr. Sutin, and we will do our best to arrange and help you with the logistics. This is a remote area but still only 30 minutes drive to the river Mekong and/or Tesco Lotus.
