A small picturesque village situated on the Turquoise Mediteranean coast. Kalkan is surrounded by a beautiful coastline and the backdrop of the Taurus Mountains. Once a fishing village, Kalkan is now a sofisticated tourist resort which has quite unusually managed to retain it's Turkish charm and village atmosphere. The village itself has an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants. A particular speciality here are the rooftop restaurants, many of which have magnificent views of the harbour, coastline and mountains beyond. The town is relatively quite during the daytime but comes to life in the evening creating a lively festive ambience.
